We applied the method described in https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.11627 and measure the density field for real quasars. https://arxiv.org/abs/2110.13917
One example of the recovered density field from an observed quasar spectrum. The orange line is the quasar spectra, blue lines are random draws of the continuum estimation, and the black lines are the recovered density fields corresponding to each continuum.
Density cumulative distribution function (CDF) between 1.5-3 pMpc from quasars for all the ten quasars in our sample.
Using the measured density CDF we can constrain cosmological parameters.
Comparing the density CDF closer to the quasar to the mean density regions, we can also infer the quasar host halo mass.
